Renewal and tradition.

The Bulb nursery – De Bilt – is located in Breezand, a village in the north of Holland. For three generations the Pennings Family has worked on the nursery which is approximately 40 hectare in size. Father and son, Jan and Joost Pennings breed the nicest selections of hyacinths, tulips, narcissus and crocuses. Of the summer flowering bulbs the lily is one of the favorites.

Altogether Pennings grows an extensive assortment. For many years they have produced bulbs that have maintained a high level of quality. This reliability is appreciated by the wholesale traders. Through this approach Jan and Joost have built valuable and lasting relationships with their clients.

The passion for bulbs, combined with the desire and commitment to renew and to improve, has created many new special varieties. The reaction of the consumers has proven that Pennings has an eye for what today’s clients like. Pennings likes to enter his products at different shows where often these new varieties win prizes and rewards.
